Four days of immersive Shamanic engagement
Myth is the reality of the Soul, just as history is the reality of the mundane world. Ceremony is the intentful construction of a bridge that spans the barriers – that we have created – between our life as it is lived, and the Mythos, the realm of the Soul. We will spend four days in Ceremony learning the elements of Journeying; establishing relationship with your own Spirit Guides; and engaging the Animal Power present for you.
ITINERARY
March 7 – Arriving at your lodging
I have reserved beautiful rooms (double occupancy) for your stay at the Hotel Lanna Ban, which is right next door to my house and the Retreat site, and a mere 100 feet from the beach of the Caribbean Sea.
That first evening, outside, Jade will be sharing the Storytelling for which he is so widely known. The chosen story will be Grandfather Fire and the Circle of Animal Brothers. This is an early bonus, and is a story crucial to the rest of the event.
March 8 – Learning, and applying, the elements of Shamanic Journeying
There are meditations, in addition to Shamanic Drumming and songs, by which we can shift dimensional perspectives to enter into the Mythos. If you have a drum or rattle, bring it!
March 9 – Establishing relationship with your male and female Spirit Guides
There is a Meadow in the Spirit World. It is YOUR Meadow, and none may enter without your express permission. It is a place of safety, comfort, access to Knowledge, and a place to retreat to for healing. It is from within this Meadow that you will be able to call forth your Spirit Guides and invite them into your Meadow, your life.
March 10 – Excursion Day
We will visit the Jaguar Rescue Center, take lunch at a typical Costa Rican restaurant, and attend a tree-to-bar chocolate-making workshop.
This retreat is intensive. We will need, and enjoy, a day of exploration of the wonders that the Caribé of Costa Rica has to offer.
We will begin with a tour of the Jaguar Rescue Center, a facility that takes in injured or orphaned native wildlife, such as tree sloths, macaws and other birds, monkeys, and reptiles. The animals that they cannot rehab back to the wild are residents that we can visit and learn of their natural habitat.
Lunch will be at a healthy Costa Rican restaurant serving meals typical of the area.
Thirdly, we will be attending a chocolate-making workshop (Talamanca Chocolates) where we learn the entire process from tree to bar. This is hands-on and oh-so yummy!
All Excursion Day events, including lunch, are included… my treat!
March 11 – Engaging your own personal Animal Power as an ally
Everything you have read of Animal Powers is, well… for public consumption. There is a difference between an animal that shows itself in your dreams or meditations, a culturally anchored representation of an animal, an animal presence of the Mythos, or an actual Spirit Animal. We will delve into the distinctive differences, and values, of each so that you can better assess the significance of an animal presence that shows itself to you in the visionary state.
We will dance the Dance of the Animal Powers to enable you to establish relationship with the Animal Power that chooses to make an ally of you.
March 12 – Departure
5 hours travel by shuttle to the San Jose, CR airport, leaving on the 6:00 am or 12:30 pm shuttle.

Included:
- All elements of the Retreat, with personal instruction and guidance from Jade Grigori.
- Double occupancy lodging at the Lanna Ban Hotel.
- All activities, entrance fees, chocolate workshop fee, and lunch on Excursion Day.
Not Included:
- Any and all travel expenses (flights, shuttles, etc) incurred from your door to my door and back.
- Meals (except lunch on Excursion Day)
- Tips for service personnel.
- You are welcome to extend your stay, however, lodging beyond the dates of this retreat would be at your own expense.
