Wisdom Camp Costa Rica

Wisdom Camp

Ways of Knowledge ~ Songs of Power

Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica

January 23 – 27, 2025

The intention of this Wisdom Camp is to transfer to you, by direct empowered transmission, the Knowledge and Songs of Power central to this event. Teachings are then provided to aid you in comprehending and applying what has been passed to you. This method of Transmission is how my Grampa Peña, my mentor, passed ‘the Ways’ into my caretakership.

Activities:

  • January 22, 2025
    • Arrival: Depending on your flight’s arrival into San Jose airport (SJO), you might need to stay overnight to catch the next day’s shuttle. Shuttles depart at 5:30 am and 2:30 pm from Denny’s Restaurant, across the highway from the airport. If so, I recommend the Holiday Inn Xpress Airporter in Alajuela, as it is close to the airport and the shuttle pick-up spot.
    • Arrival at your lodging, then come to my house. We will have an informal get-together and dinner at a local restaurant.
  • January 23
    • Wisdom Teachings on the Four Elements and their related aspects. The Power Song for the Elements will be taught so that you may sing it henceforth.
    • We will go beneath the jungle canopy, alive with wildlife, and to the Caribbean Sea, to sing the Songs of the Elements to empower and awaken their magical expressions of the Earth.
    • Evening – Q&A, and further Teachings.
  • January 24
    • Daytime – Ways of Power: Power (life force, collected and concentrated) is the force of Nature with which we work in our Shamanic Ways. A thorough presentation on the laws of nature that regulate the movement and building of Power, and practices to implement that Knowledge will be engaged.
    • Evening – Storytelling to elucidate the sacred interaction with the Elementals.
  • January 25

    • Excursion Day! We will visit the Jaguar Rescue Center (a wildlife rehabilitation and release back to habitat facility) and in the afternoon we will attend a chocolate-making workshop, from cacao’s history and mythology to the making and eating of the chocolate!
    • The cost of all Excursion Day activities, lunch, entrance fees, and transportation costs will be paid by me.
  • January 26
    • Daytime – Open teachings: Having time for investigations of your questions and seeing where that flow carries us.
    • Evening – We will each go sit upon a spot of our own choosing at the beach where you will sing your Songs of Power in earnest, establishing actual relationship with the Elementals.
  • January 27
    • Daytime – The application of Power and Song as an adjunct to your personal healing and your healing practice.
    • Evening –  Campfire Tales: Shamanic Storytelling, Teaching, Drumming, and Healing. Sitting together around a campfire, we will engage in the dynamics of Storytelling in its powerfully authentic transformative healing. We will highlight the Song of Fire.
  • January 28
    • Departure from your hotel to the airport in San Jose (4 – 6 hours, depending on road conditions). Generally, if you catch the 6 am shuttle to San Jose you can catch flights that depart SJO at 2 pm onwards. Otherwise, an overnight stay in a hotel is recommended.

Lodging

  • I have come to learn that different individuals want different types of lodging, so I no longer book your room. I leave it up to you. Cost of lodgings is not included in my $555 overhead fee.
  • Reservations for your lodgings are handled separately between you and the hosts at the lodging of your choosing. These are the Lodgings (as listed on Booking.com) I recommend, as they are close to my house and offer a range of values to fit your budget and comfort:
    • Hotel Lanna BanThis hotel is literally right next to my house.
    • Cabinas Ole Caribe
    • Many other lodgings are available on Booking.com. It is your responsibility to get to my house each morning on time, so verify the distance of your chosen lodging from my house (use Hotel Lanna Ban as a location reference, as it is next door to my house).

Transportation

  • Local moto-taxis (called tuk-tuks) are readily available for your transportation needs. Your hotel will call one for you, or just wave one down in the street.
  • Caribé Shuttle – for transport between San Jose and Cocles, Puerto Viejo. Please review the time parameters included in the Arrival and Departure statements, above.
